GAINESVILLE — Superior Paving Corp., headquartered in Gainesville, recently announced the following executive appointments as part of its ongoing succession plan: Ronald White, chairman and chief executive officer; Frank Surface, president; James Mitchell, executive vice president; Bobby Surface, chairman emeritus; and Barton Mitchell, chairman emeritus.
Founded in 1976 with a single asphalt plant in Centreville, Superior now operates nine plants in the region bounded by Leesburg, Culpeper and Fredericksburg. It offers full-service asphalt paving, milling, stone base and hot-mix materials to the public and private paving markets in the area.
