Spring Wine Tastings
The Hartwood Winery will be offering wine tastings in recognition of spring, from noon to 4 p.m. In addition to wine, hor d’oeuvres will be served and Gerry Maddox will perform live music. Admission to the event is $10. For more information, call (540) 753-4893.

Garden Speakers
Mary Lou Seilheimer of the Garden Club of Virginia will be speaking at the Fredericksburg Area Museum and Cultural Center at 7 p.m. She will present a slideshow of beautiful historic gardens restored with proceeds from Historic Garden Week in Virginia tours. Mary Wynn McDaniel, a leader from the local chapter of the Garden Club of Virginia, will also preview highlights of the 2008 Historic Garden Week tours.

The Kingston Trio
The Kingston Trio will perform with the UMW-Community Symphony Orchestra as part of the William Anderson, Jr. Celebrity Series. General admission tickets to the event are $35. Friends of the Orchestra: $25, UMW students with ID: $10. For tickets or more information call (540) 654-1012.

‘Nic at Night’
The Maranatha Second Generation Choir presents the Kathie Hill drama “Nic at Night” at the Fil-Am Christian Church, located at 410 Decon Road in Fredericksburg at 4 p.m. The event is free to the public. For more information, call at (540) 907 2128.

‘Rikki’s Refuge Open House’
Rikki’s Refuge will be holding an open house from noon to 4 p.m. The public is invited to pet and feed the various animals in the refuge. Visitors will have a chance to have photos made of them and one of the animals on the tour. The refuge is non-profit and is supported solely by donations.
