Emma Mae Horn Cotter, 82, of Stafford passed away peacefully in her home Friday, June 13, 2008 after a long battle with cancer.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Trish Herman.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, James V. Cotter of Stafford; sons, Michael Cotter of Spotsylvania, and Jeffrey Cotter of Fredericksburg; and five grandchildren.
A service was held June 17 at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Komen for the Cure, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Suite 250, Dallas TX 75244; or to Micah Ecumenical Ministries P.O. Box 3277, Fredericksburg, VA 22402.
