Raymond Eugene Simpson Sr., 76, of Stafford County, died Saturday, April 5, 2008 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Mozell Simpson, and his son, Raymond Simpson Jr.
Survivors include one son, Eugene Mandley of Stafford County; three daughters, Shelby Miller of Woodbridge, Diane Collins of Stafford, and Barbara Lerch of Fredericksburg; a sister in Alexandria; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
A service was held April 9 at Covenant Funeral Service Chapel, with interment following in Ivy Hill Cemetery in Alexandria. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Memorials Processing Center, Box 5216 Glen Allen, VA 23058.
