Group offers July programs
FREDERICKSBURG — The Alzheimer’s Association will offer the following programs during the month of July.
Dementia 102 - Classes held 11 a.m.-Noon at Comfort Keepers, 1204½ Princess Anne St., Fredericksburg.  Registration is required.  There is a $20 charge, which includes resource materials. 

On July 10, the association will hold a class entitles Nutrition:  It’s More Than Just a Meal. On July 24, the association will a program called Hospice:  How It Can Help with Dementia.

Bookmobile sets its schedule
STAFFORD - Stafford has announced the Bookmobile schedule for the week. On Tuesday, July 8, the van will be at His Precious Children, from 10 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Then the van will travel to the Brooke Post Office, and be open from 4:15 - 4:45 p.m.

On Wednesday, July 9, the van will be at the Stafford location of Children of America from 9:30 a.m. - 10 a.m.

On Thursday, July 10, the van will be at Fredericksburg Christian Academy from 9:30 a.m. - 10 a.m.



FAMCC launches new Web site
Fredericksburg — The Fredericksburg Area Museum and Cultural Center announced that it would launch a new Web site at the July 5 First Saturday at the Museum free public concert. 

As part of the Museum’s upcoming expansion, the Web site is being redesigned to reflect and accommodate the growth of the institution. The site will have many new features and will debut the Museum’s new logo and branding aesthetic.

The July 5 First Saturday concert is a variation of the First Friday at the Museum concert series.  For July only, the Museum is hosting the concert on the first Saturday of the month to allow guests to enjoy Independence Day celebrations on Friday, July 4. 

The concert, featuring The Taters, will be presented from 7 - 10 p.m. in downtown Fredericksburg’s historic Market Square, located directly behind the Museum’s Town Hall site at the corner of Princess Anne and William streets. 

FAMCC will also offer free Museum admission from 5 - 8 p.m.  Museum members, including those who join on the night of the event, are invited to enjoy complimentary refreshments in the members-only reception area from 7 - 8:30 p.m.  Food will be available for purchase in the Square.
