Aishia King, a Stafford resident, just completed a three-day workshop where high school students explored their interests in design, media arts or fashion.
Led by industry professionals, the intense three days were spent in accelerated workshops doing hands-on projects that resulted in a finished product.
Evenings were spent enjoying many of the attractions New York City has to offer. Students expressed their pleasure at spending this time with creative teens from all over the country who share their interests.
All day workshops and evening activities culminated in a wrap party and awards ceremony. The ceremony took place in the TriBeCa Gallery, part of TriBeCa Cinemas, well-known as the focal point of the TriBeCa Film Festival. Students walked a red carpet on the way to receiving awards for their creative achievements.
Students learned about admission requirements and the process of applying for early acceptance to The Art Institute of New York City in Graphic Design, Interior Design, Video Production, Fashion Design, Web Design & Interactive Media.
