Stafford author nominated for awards

A local author has been nominated for a sting of literary awards on the heels of her latest novel.

Traci Abramson, who lives in Stafford, recently released her novel, “Freefall,” in February and has been nominated for a Whitney award. The author’s previous novel, “The Deep End,” was a Whitney Award finalist.

Abramson says she has lived in Stafford for more than 12 years and is best known as the swim coach at North Stafford High School.

“Even people who know I write see me as a regular person. I think that it’s hard for them to see that I am just a regular person,” said Abramson.
