As the cleanup and recover efforts continue, one man is saying that he has been told by Sheriff’s Deputies to stay out of the England Run neighborhood of Stafford County.

If you live in a flood-prone area, be prepared to take action as storms move into the Northern Virginia area, warns the National Weather Service.

Local officials say reservoir is “completely full,” barring any need for new water restrictions. 

STAFFORD — Not even the Stafford Regional Airport was immune to the effects of last week’s damaging tornado.

STAFFORD — Richard John Doucet, of LaSalle, Quebec, Canada, has been charged with one count of attempted indecent liberties, one count of the use of an electronic communications device to solicit a juvenile and two counts of distribution of child pornography, reported the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office in a press release Monday.

BEREA — Rumbling thunder and torrential rain pounded tornado-damaged homes and buildings Sunday night in the southern portion of Stafford County.

STAFFORD — Budget reduction concerns continued to plague the Stafford County School Board on Tuesday night as it approved the 2009 fiscal year budget.

BEREA — A twirling 120 mph wind whistled through Cornerstone Baptist Church on May 8 shortly before 11 p.m. 

NORTH STAFFORD — U.S. 1 at Aquia will reopen to limited traffic this afternoon, giving another option for commuters who have struggled with closed and flooded roads since Sunday night. 

STAFFORD—Portions of U.S. 1 at the Stafford-Prince William County line were under water Sunday night, with traffic being turned around near the Boswell’s Corner area of Stafford County. 

STAFFORD — A water main break above the Claiborne Run Creek may disrupt water service to Stafford utilities customers who live in the Chatham Heights area of Stafford County, according to a county press release.

BEREA — U.S. Congressman Rob Wittman, R-1st District, toured the site of the devastation from Thursday’s tornado in the England Run North subdivision on Saturday in Stafford County.

BEREA — The England Run North Storm Response Service Center opened at 8 a.m. on Saturday at the Berea Fire & Rescue Station. 

The National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado did touch down in the England Run area of south Stafford on Thursday night, according to Mark Stone, with Stafford County Fire and Rescue.
