STORY UPDATE: Rescuers have recovered the body of the 17-year-old teenager who drowned in the Rappahannock River on Sunday afternoon, according to Mark Stone, spokesman with Stafford County Fire and Rescue.
The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office has taken over the investigation. A reporter is working to retrieve further information.
