Potomac Hospital offers free flu immunizations to seniors

WOODBRIDGE — Each fall, Potomac Hospital, in partnership with the Prince William Health District, offers free flu vaccines to people ages 60 and over. Vaccines are given at places of worship and other community locations. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend that everyone 65 and older get a flu shot each fall. The schedule is as follows:
N Nov. 5: 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 18825 Fuller Heights Road, Triangle. Call (703) 221-4044 for more information.

N Nov. 7, 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Prince William Area Senior Center at Woodbridge, 13850 Church Hill Drive in Woodbridge. Call (703) 494-5136 for more information.

N Nov. 12, 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Lake Ridge Fellowship House, 12800 Harbor Drive in Lake Ridge. Call (703) 494-4455 for more information.

Ceremony to commemorate pregnancy, infant loss

WOODBRIDGE — In honor of National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, Potomac Hospital is holding a Remembrance Ceremony on Oct.12, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Hylton Education Center at Potomac Hospital in Woodbridge.

There will be speakers, poetry read by parents, music, commemoration and refreshments. All are welcome, including children. This is a free ceremony and registration is not required. For more information, please call Chaplain Carol Wille at (703) 670-3003 or e-mail .
