Gar-Field grad wins silver in Olympics

Gar-Field High School graduate Sheena Tosta won the silver medal today in the 400-meter hurdles at the Beijing Olympics. Tosta, who had the top-seeded time coming into the final, finished with a time of 53.70.

Jamaica’s Melaine Walker won the gold in a time of 52.64

This is Tosta’s first-ever Olympic medal. Tosta competed in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, where she finished fourth in the 400 hurdles.
