Stafford teen faces assault charge
A Stafford teen is among 10 youths charged with assault by mob, robbery and malicious wounding. The names of the suspects were not released because they are minors.
A 14-year-old girl from Burke was assaulted and robbed on Saturday, May 10, just after midnight as she went with friends to meet an acquaintance in Fairfax County, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.
The girl says she was confronted by a group of juveniles who began assaulting her, demanding her cell phone and jacket.
After giving them up, she ran to a nearby
home for help.
The victim was taken for medical treatment by her mother for non life-threatening injuries.
Police said the group includes six girls and four boys, ages 12 to 15 years, from Fairfax, Loudon, and Stafford counties.

Missing truck not practical joke
FALMOUTH — A man parked his blue Dodge Dakota pickup truck at King’s Highway and Enola Road on Monday and walked to the river to go fishing, reported Stafford County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Bill Kennedy on Tuesday.
When he returned, the truck was gone.
He initially thought his friends were playing a prank on him. After speaking to them he realized that the truck had been stolen.

Silver-colored Mercedes stolen
GARRISONVILLE — A 1996 silver-colored Mercedes Benz with Virginia license plates from the 300 block of High Street was reportedly stolen between May 17-18, reported Stafford County Sheriff Public Information Officer Bill Kennedy on Tuesday.
The complainant reported that he was away for the weekend and returned Sunday evening. At the time of his return he did not notice that the car was missing.
Once he did, he reported it.
