Collision with pole ends with charges
FALMOUTH — A collision with a telephone pole resulted in charges against the driver and passengers of a 1991 Chevy Blazer at about 11:30 a.m. on June 17 in front of Edward E. Drew Middle School, reported Major David Decatur on June 19.

A witness reported that the vehicle was traveling north on Jefferson Davis Highway, swerved into the southbound lane and ran into a telephone pole.

The driver left the car, vaulted over the fence and fled.

Police brought a K-9 onto the scene and tracked Brian Fisher Key, 28, of 171 Joshua Road to the rear of the school. He was taken to Mary Washington
Hospital in Fredericksburg for treatment of his injuries.

Meanwhile, the two passengers in the vehicle were less than forthcoming concerning the identity of the driver. They too, were transported to Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg for their injures.

The two passengers, Casaundra Carol Fox, 24, and Lucas Michael Eberley, 20, also of 171 Joshua Road, were charged with failing to aid a law enforcement officer after treatment of their injuries. They were released on a summons.

Key was charged with hit and run, driving revoked, and incarcerated on a $2,500 bond in the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
