Copper wire stolen from Lowe’s site
BEREA — More than $30,000 worth of copper wire was stolen from the site of the new Lowe’s on Banks Ford Parkway between June 30 and July 1, reported Stafford County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Bill Kennedy on Monday.
An employee at the site reported a storage container was open and the material was missing.

Woman with warrant arrested
GARRISONVILLE — A Stafford woman became belligerent while being arrested at St. Robert’s Drive on July 4, reported Stafford County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Bill Kennedy on Monday.
Reports came that Aquawlin Swain, 29, of St. Robert’s Drive, was refusing the leave the property. En route the deputy learned that Swain had an outstanding warrant.

Police found Swain in a shed behind the house and was taken into custody, though not without resistance. She screamed obscenities and was placed into the cruiser. She continued them on her way to and at the magistrate’s office. Police found “drug paraphernalia and a glass smoking device,” in her bag, said Kennedy.

She was incarcerated in Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.

Man arrested at motel’s pool area
FALMOUTH — Corey White, 25 and of no known address, was arrested for disorderly conduct, assault, resisting arrest, and drunk in public at Warrenton Road Motel 6 on July 5 at about 8 p.m., reported Stafford County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Bill Kennedy on Monday.

White reportedly became unruly at the motel swimming pool. When a deputy arrived he found White yelling obscenities into a room full of people apparently at a family reunion.

He attempted to elude deputies by retreating to his room and barricading himself into the bathroom.
He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $3,500 bond.

Tanning salon damaged, robbed
GARRISONVILLE — Tan-D-Monium, located on Dunn Drive, was broken into on the night of July 7, reported Stafford County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Bill Kennedy on Tuesday.

The front door was damaged and money was taken from the safe, according to Kennedy.
