How disgusting that the Stafford County Sun publishes a picture of children selling live rabbits on the front page of Talk of the Town and entitles it, “Easter’s Gift,” like it’s a good thing. It is widely known that impulse buying of rabbits and chicks for Easter results in the suffering of many animals. It’s also absolutely appalling that Wal-Mart agreed to allow them to sell the rabbits in front of its store. Celebrating this act by displaying it in the newspaper as something wonderful was very irresponsible journalism and the Stafford County Sun should be ashamed.
