I do not mince words. I want Stafford County to do whatever it can to battle illegal aliens and to specifically target them by passing an ordinance to limit the number of unrelated persons living in a home. As a cofounder of Save Stafford, I have seen pictures provided by one of our members (who restores foreclosed homes) of residential housing turned into flop houses with rooms sub-divided and re-subdivided, to accommodate as many as 20 people in a “home.” Enough.
This is America, and not the Third World.
As was made evident by the recently published Stafford County Illegal Immigration Task Force, due to a hopelessly inept and out of touch federal government, there is very little our county can do to mitigate the skyrocketing costs illegal immigrants impose on the legal residents of Stafford County. But whatever we can do - we must do. And I, and thousands of my fellow residents who have toiled and sweated throughout the years to be able to afford a nice home here, do not want Stafford County to deteriorate into patches of dilapidated shanty towns, or for it to become the playground of Mexican or El Salvadoran gangs simply because it might upset a warped sense of liberal altruism. Pass an ordinance now, or face the increasing wrath of a citizenry rapidly losing its patience.

Mark, by reading your comments it’s obvious that you are another citizen obssesed with “illegal immigration” i think you either live in Prince William County or you have heard about the crackdown on illegal immigration in that county, the reality is that neither you or the county can’t do what the federal government has not done in 30 years, your proposal is nothing but a band-aid to this huge problem. I do not agree with your remarks in limiting residents in a single home because a lot of my neighbors have 5,6 cars on their driveways and I see people coming and going and as long they don’t park on my driveway I don’t have a problem with it, now this neighbors are white, they don’t look “illegals” to me unless they are illegals from Canada. one more thing, by you mentioning Mexican and Salvadorean gangs you are stereotyping, gangs and crime come from every ethnic group not just Hispanics. no wonder County supervisors are not rushing in approving dumb ordinances because they know in the long run it will hurt this great community.
